Susan (Su) Bane obtained her Bachelor’s Degree of Social Work from the University of Illinois School Urbana-Champaign and later completed her Master’s Degree of Social Work there as well. Su was a Child Welfare Specialist at DCFS for 15 years before retiring, eventually returning to the social work field after realizing she really missed working with children and adults, helping them to develop coping skills, build better relationships and removing the brick walls that keep them from living their lives to their fullest potential.
She joined our team of therapists at Community Resource and Counseling Center in July 2023 as a part- time therapist and the following March 2024 coming on board full time. Since then, she has been spending Mondays in Hoopeston at the Multi Agency, where she sees several clients a day, and Tuesdays through Fridays at the CRCC office in Paxton.
In her free time, Su enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, listening to her son-in-law’s band play at local venues, traveling with her husband and playing with her two German Shepherds.
